Eustáquio’s positional intelligence is what unlocks Canada’s higher-tempo phases — when he is on the pitch, Davies and David get the ball in dangerous areas faster, and the midfield press is calmer. His move to MLS raised eyebrows when announced in summer 2025, but he has been one of LAFC’s most consistent performers and the trade-off (a World Cup year closer to family) seems to have paid off. He pairs naturally with Ismaël Koné in a double pivot.
