About
I'm a self-taught builder. When I want something to exist — a tool, a dashboard, an entire 1,485-page website — I build it. Everything on this page was designed, built, and shipped by one person, on purpose, mostly at night.
HeraCane.Net is my corner of the internet — no algorithm, no feed, just the things I'd talk your ear off about anyway. I'm a Jersey guy who measures the week by the Liverpool result and has never walked past a good shot without stopping for it.

Every one of these exists because something I wanted didn't. Some live on the internet, some hum away on my home network.
I wanted to follow the 2026 World Cup without juggling ten tabs and a spreadsheet, so I built the companion I couldn't find: all 48 teams, every coach, 1,200+ player bios with EA-style ratings, venue guides, and a calendar that drops all 104 matches onto your phone in the right time zone. It's 1,485 static pages, and the whole thing rebuilds in about 3.5 seconds.

The site you're on. I wanted a homepage that opens like a title sequence, so I built the scroll-driven intro and tuned it frame by frame until iPhones stopped stuttering (iOS and I are speaking again). Meanwhile, a pipeline fetches, filters, and publishes fresh headlines across the site every hour — it hasn't needed me since.

My mom retired and is starting a second act as an event stylist. A new business deserves better than a Facebook album, so I built her a portfolio-and-inquiry site end to end — brand palette, design, build, a hand-rolled password gate, hosting. It stays private until she's ready to launch, because it's her site, not mine.

Someone always says something useful in some video I can never find again. ClipSeek fixes that: paste a YouTube link and it downloads, transcribes, and indexes every spoken sentence — so searching "that bit about caching" jumps the player to the exact second it was said. Search is hybrid, keyword plus semantic, because neither alone was good enough.

Good ideas kept dying between red lights. Now I say them to my watch, and an AI routing cascade transcribes each one, decides what it is, and files it — todo, calendar event, note, or email — before the phone is back in my pocket.

Four computers run my homelab, and I was tired of guessing which one was on fire. ForzaMonitor is a dashboard styled like a Ferrari instrument cluster: live temperatures, loads, and service health for the whole fleet, with remote controls so I can fix things from the couch — where most infrastructure decisions get made anyway.

The good Tesla companion apps want a subscription for data my own car already produces. So I'm self-hosting the whole thing instead: full drive and charging history with dashboards today, and a custom phone app with live vehicle state and remote commands on the way.

Budget apps want either a subscription or my bank login, and I wasn't giving up either. So I built my own: every account, bill, and paycheck on one dashboard, a projection engine that charts the balance months ahead, and a local AI to ask questions. It runs entirely on my machine — my money never phones home.

Fantasy baseball is a weekly research problem wearing a hobby costume. I built a manager's console for my 10-team league: live Yahoo roster and matchup data, waiver-wire analytics, and a pitcher-streaming recommender, all backed by a stats database I keep current. First place is still a work in progress.
