Bobb’s value to Norway is partly tactical and partly relational: nobody in the squad understands how Haaland moves better than the player who has trained next to him at City for three seasons. His Guardiola schooling — short, sharp combinations, finding the No. 9’s shoulder, third-man runs — is the closest thing Norway have to a structured possession layer outside of Ødegaard. After losing a year to injury, his return to form in 2025-26 was the difference between Norway carrying one elite young winger to the tournament and carrying two.
