Trezeguet has been the constant on Egypt’s left flank for nearly a decade, the foil to Salah on the opposite side. His return to Al Ahly in 2024 reunited him with the academy and the dressing room that made him, and he has thrived in the Egyptian Premier League while staying central to Hossam Hassan’s tactical plan.
At 31 he is no longer the speed merchant he was in 2018, but his crossing accuracy and ability to combine in tight spaces remain elite. Expect him on the left of a 4-2-3-1 in all three group matches.
