Musiala is Germany’s tournament wild card — the player most likely to win a knockout match on his own through a single dribble. Coexistence with Wirtz remains the central tactical puzzle for Nagelsmann; the working compromise has been Musiala drifting from a nominal left-wing start into the half-space Wirtz leaves when he drops. If both stay healthy, this is the most dangerous attacking-midfield pairing Germany has had since at least the 2014-era Özil-Götze axis.
Strengths
- close-control dribbling in traffic
- vertical line-breaking carries
- either-footed finishing
- tight-area combination play

Trained at Chelsea's academy until he was 16 and represented England up to U21 level before publicly choosing Germany — a decision the FA reportedly tried hard to reverse.
