A genuinely top-five-league right-back and one of Colombia’s most consistent performers across the 2024 Copa América and the World Cup qualifying campaign. Muñoz’s attacking output is what makes Lorenzo’s 4-3-3 work — he gives Colombia a third attacking option down the right alongside Jhon Arias, with Davinson Sánchez tucking in to cover when he overlaps.
His club teammate Jefferson Lerma plays directly in front of him for both Palace and Colombia, which gives the right side of the team a club-level chemistry the rest of the lineup can’t replicate. That partnership is probably the most important defensive-to-attacking transition relationship in the squad.
