Saka is England’s right-flank constant. In Tuchel’s 4-3-3 he is the wide attacker who holds touchline width while Eze drifts inside on the left, and the geometry is built around his ability to commit a full-back and either cross with his left foot or shoot with it from the inverted angle. The story since Euro 2020 has been about recovering from that penalty miss — he has been on the right end of multiple major-tournament knockout-stage moments since, but a World Cup deep run with a final on the line would close that chapter for good.
Strengths
- 1v1 dribbling cutting in from the right
- set-piece delivery
- tactical discipline and tracking back
- temperament in big moments after Euro 2020
