Carrasquilla is the most-likely Panama player to make a moment at this tournament. Christiansen’s system is built around getting him on the ball in the right half-space, where his combination of physical strength and a long-range shot creates problems for any midfield. He is also Panama’s primary set-piece taker. The fitness flag is real but manageable — the Pumas final pushed him into extra time and he limped through the closing minutes — and the staff have managed his loading carefully through the buildup.
