Revealed October 2, 2025
Trionda.
Adidas’ official match ball for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The name fuses tri- (the three host nations) with onda (Spanish for wave) — a single ball moving across three countries.
Tricolor geometry
White ground, three large color blocks, four thermally bonded panels, and a gold-flecked triangle where the three blocks meet — a small tribute to the World Cup Trophy itself.
Engineering
The lowest panel count of any World Cup ball ever made. Brazuca had 6. Al Rihla had 20.
Embossed textures on the surface for grip in wet conditions.
Side-mounted in a single panel — a relocation from Al Rihla’s center-suspended chip.
Produced by Forward Sports, adidas’ long-running World Cup partner.
In adidas’ words
“With TRIONDA, every detail has an impact. The embossed textures, layered graphics and bold colours make the ball stand out instantly, creating a design that feels alive in your hands.”
